SunMate and Pudgee have been used by designers in furniture, architecture, and art exhibits. Artists are intrigued by the unusual feel of Pudgee, and capability to mold custom shapes with Foam-in-Place Seating (FIPS).

NASA created a Pudgee balance floor used by astronauts upon re-entry from space. Astronauts walk an obstacle course on the thick, squishy material to test how their equilibrium was effected by being in a zero-gravity atmosphere.
