WATERPROOF COATING

Silicone Waterproof Coating may be applied to SunMate, Pudgee and Laminar cushions. The silicone coating provides an elastic, waterproof layer which is safe for skin contact, resisitant to odors and soiling, and won’t detract from the cushion’s support capabilities.

FIRE RETARDANT COATING

To help maintain low toxicity, Dynamic Systems does not incorporate fire-retardant additives into its cushions. Where fire retardance is required, we recommend the use of proven coatings which add very little toxicity and provide exceptional fire-retardant properties. We offer the following fire-retardant coating:

SIL-FR is a mixture of silicone waterproofing and a non-toxic, fire-retardant powder. The SIL-FR paste is applied to the cushion material to create a durable, waterproof, fire-retardant finish which won’t detract from the cushion’s qualities. This method works best for regular cushion surfaces such as a SunMate, Pudgee, or Laminar, but may also be applied to FIPS inserts.
