High energy dissipation cushions were initially developed in the 1960s during a NASA project contracted to Stencel Aero Engineering Corporation (SAEC) in Arden, NC. The aim of the project was to explore ways to improve crash safety in airline passenger seating.
Our cushion materials were originally created with the users' safety and health in mind. A significant percentage of the ingredients that make up SunMate and Pudgee are derived from plants, giving our cushions a freshness and more natural feeling that other foams don't have.
